Oakland native and FIDM-alumnus Esther Han took the time to chat with us about her personal challenges in pursuing her fashion dream and becoming a designer at Anna Sui. We watched her grow from her early days at University of California, Berkeley as a Sociology student, to moving to New York and experiencing the bittersweet reality of the fashion world. Already known in the industry for having a gift for construction and an amazing eye for detail and design, Esther’s journey is an inspiration to us all.
